Words of Wisdom

Just now, I was the lucky recipient of some very wise words, courtesy of Andrea:

"It's not like there's a finite amount of happiness in the world to go around, but you wouldn't know it the way some people behave."

Wow.

Moral of this story? Go forth and spend your happiness - you can always make more. Give it away freely because it'll return to you tenfold.

Barbara Sher: I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It
A quality self-help book. I'm rereading it now. I would rate this book five stars, but some of the exercises - which are very important to take a stab at - really require a more social setting. You need someone to give you feedback for some of the more useful exercises. Unlike Po Bronson's "What Should I Do With My Life?", Sher doesn't just give you anecdotes about what other people did, she gives you tools to look at your own life. (****)
